Accessibility statement
Our commitments, the standard we work to, known limitations, and how to tell us about a barrier.
Domantria LLC wants this website to be usable by everyone who needs it, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, voice control, or reduced-motion settings. We treat accessibility as part of the build rather than a retrofit, and we test the pages we publish against the criteria we can check without specialist tooling.
Standard we work to
We work to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.1, at Level AA. That standard sets out requirements for text alternatives, colour contrast, keyboard operation, focus visibility, resizable text, consistent navigation, and clear labelling of controls. It is a widely recognised benchmark, and it is the one we use to judge our own pages rather than inventing a private standard.
What we have done on this site
- Semantic structure. Pages use real headings in a logical order, and the main content sits inside a main landmark so assistive technology can skip the navigation.
- Text alternatives. Every photograph carries a descriptive alternative that explains what it shows, rather than repeating a filename or leaving the attribute empty on a content image.
- Keyboard operation. Every link and control can be reached and operated with a keyboard, and focus is visible rather than suppressed.
- Contrast. Body text is set in dark ink on a light background, and the accent colour used for emphasis is checked against the background it appears on.
- Motion. The only animation on the site is a blinking cursor on the active navigation token. For visitors who prefer reduced motion, that animation is suppressed by a media query so the interface holds still.
- Resizable text. Layout is built with relative units and reflows rather than breaking when text is enlarged or the viewport narrows.
- Labelling. Form fields have programmatically associated labels, and the purpose of each control is stated in plain language.
- No dependence on colour alone. The active navigation item is marked by shape and weight as well as by colour, and links are distinguishable without relying on hue.
The terminal-inspired design on this site uses monospaced type for headings and navigation. Monospaced type can be harder to read in long passages, so body text is set in a system sans-serif stack and kept to comfortable line lengths. Decorative elements such as the registry band are presentational; the information they carry is also conveyed in text.
Known limitations
We are honest about what we have not verified. We have not run a full audit with assistive technology across every browser and device combination, and some combinations of operating system and screen reader may expose issues we have not observed. Tables on this site carry header cells and a caption where one is needed, but complex data tables can still be demanding in a linear reading mode. If a table is difficult for you to use, write to [email protected] and we will send the same information as a structured list.
The blinking cursor is decorative. Where a browser does not support the reduced-motion preference, the cursor will still animate, and that animation is a short opacity change rather than a large or repeated movement.
Requesting an accessible format
If you need information from this site in a different format, we will provide it. That includes a plain document version of any page, a structured list in place of a table, or the content of a page read out over the telephone. If you encounter a barrier on this site, please tell us what page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what happened. Reports are logged, reviewed, and used to change the site. Where a barrier affects a client during an engagement, we will also arrange an alternative way to complete the step, including conducting a transaction step by telephone where needed.
Ongoing review
This statement describes the current state of the site, not a one-time claim. We review pages when they change and re-check the criteria above when we publish new material. The date of the current review is recorded in the registry band at the top of this page, and we update the statement when the position changes.
